In the Financial Industry since 1993.

  • Certified General Accountant (CGA) 1993
  • Credential Wealth Consultant 2011

With a passion for details and numbers, James wanted to be an accountant from a young age. He is proud of earning his CGA designation and all the doors it has opened for him. After working as an accountant for a number of years, James took his passion for finances into the world of financial planning. James takes a personal approach to financial planning, based on trust and integrity. He believes all long-term business relationships should be built on reliability and honesty.

James realized that by helping people plan early on, he could help them prevent problems later in life. Financial planning is an important piece of every individual’s life but is often overlooked. James has seen the benefits of a sound financial plan, and the peace of mind it brings to people. He wants each of his clients to be prepared for anything. “What works for someone else won’t necessarily work for you. That’s why it’s important to go to a professional,” he says. With James, clients can expect to receive ongoing comprehensive financial planning advice with a specialized focus on retirement planning.

James enjoys volunteering in his community. He loves the outdoors and spends time managing a hockey league, and maintaining an ice-rink in his backyard.

James knows the importance of listening carefully to his clients to better understand their needs. This helps him find solutions that fit comfortably into his clients’ lives.

Wil Montgomery, Wealth Advisor, Access Credit Union/Credential Asset Management Inc. Expand/Collapse

In the Financial Industry since 1997.

  • Professional Financial Planning Course 2008
  • Wealth Consultant Designation 2011
  • Advanced Retirement Management Strategies 2013

Whether it’s coaching kids in hockey or guiding clients on how to make sound investments, Wil loves helping people reach their goals. He enjoys the opportunity to help clients of every life stage with their specific issues and challenges and seeing them succeed. A commitment to professionalism and the cooperative development of unique, personal goals forms the foundation of any strong financial plan.

“You can’t have one template for everyone,” he says. “ A cornerstone of financial planning is the recognition that everyone’s economic and life situation is unique”. A financial plan must reflect the stage of life its owner is in: whether purchasing a first home, financing a child’s college education or planning for retirement. A plan must reflect its owner’s personal or business situation, and highlight those financial products that best fit it. A custom-tailored financial plan must also be continually reviewed to measure its achievements against stated aims, and ensure the owner is comfortable everything is moving forward according to plan. He keeps the client’s objectives in focus, staying in contact with them throughout the process and making adjustments as economic or lifestyle conditions warrant.

Wil and his family love to spend time outdoors and staying active. He enjoys backpacking through the mountains, and volunteering in his community.

“Your retirement plan should provide direction, clarity and peace of mind. Ask Wil how a retirement plan can benefit you.”

Bill North, Wealth Advisor, Access Credit Union/Credential Asset Management Inc. Expand/Collapse

In the Financial Industry since 2007.

  • Registered Mutual Funds Investment Specialist with Credential Asset Management Inc.
Bill grew up in the Carman area where his family has lived for several generations.  He and his wife moved back to Carman after several years of living and working in Winnipeg and Sanford. It really came down to wanting to raise their 3 kids in a small town.  Bill has been involved with several local boards and volunteers teaching golf and curling to kids in the community.

Bill is passionate about financial planning and being able to help his clients achieve their goals and sleep better at night knowing that they are being taken care of with sound advice.  Asking clients about their goals and concerns and then completing a financial plan that looks at all areas of a client’s finances is the key.  Bill believes that comprehensive financial planning is not a one size fits all and tailors his strategies to fit the needs of all clients, from the novice investor just starting out to the more complex investor.

Community involvement is paramount to Bill and he believes in the importance of giving back to the community where he has lived and worked for most of his life.  When not golfing and curling Bill is an avid fisherman that enjoys family time on the water.
