Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for CAFT originators
The CAFT MFA process requires users to input a time-based, one-time password (OTP) generated by an authentication app—such as Microsoft or Google Authenticator—installed on a mobile device.
CAFT users will visit the login page to the platform and will see a splash screen titled “Welcome to CAFT’s new authentication process” upon visiting the login site. TIP: All users should ALWAYS check that the URL they are in is the correct URL.
From the splash screen, directions are provided to install an authentication app onto an internet-capable Android or iOS mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet. This app will provide one-time passcodes users will use to log into CAFT.
Once users pass MFA, they will have to login with their username/password to access the CAFT portal.
